From July 9th - July 15th, 2003, La Galerie Espace presented "The Distance Between
Us," recent paintings and sculptures by Natalie Elizabeth LeBlanc. The series consisted of 17 large oil on canvas paintings and 3 mixed media sculptures. Portraying themes of solitude, quiet reflection and human fragility, Natalie Elizabeth LeBlanc stands out for her ability to portray scenes with a haunted and organic sensability. |

The series also portrayed a love story between the subjects and an unknown presence.
Works such as "My Arms Aren't Big Enough to Embrace Your Sea" and "Every Time
I Let You Go, I Want You Back," were strong depictions of the power of nature,
the process of time and the beauty of abandonment. |
"The exhibition [was] meant to be a journey...with roads, doors and gates leading
the viewer to hidden sanctuaries". |
